As the production of and reliance on datasets to produce automated decision-making systems (ADS) increases, so does the need for processes for evaluating and interrogating the underlying data. After launching the Dataset Nutrition Label in 2018, the Data Nutrition Project has made significant updates to the design and purpose of the Label, and is launching an updated Label in late 2020, which is previewed in this paper. The new Label includes context-specific Use Cases &Alerts presented through an updated design and user interface targeted towards the data scientist profile. This paper discusses the harm and bias from underlying training data that the Label is intended to mitigate, the current state of the work including new datasets being labeled, new and existing challenges, and further directions of the work, as well as Figures previewing the new label.

The latter doorbells can also connect to less-crowded 5GHz Wi-Fi networks where this less-expensive model has only a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi adapter onboard.

The Economist sees audio articles as a way to retain subscribers and find new ones by publishing select content for free as podcasts, said Mr. Standage, who noted the offer "is not about advertiser revenue."

TOKYO (Reuters) - Toyota Motor Corp unveiled an emergency safety system on Monday that uses big data to ignore the accelerator if it determines the driver steps on the pedal unintentionally. Japan's biggest car maker will roll out what it calls an "accelerator suppression function" in new cars from this summer, beginning in Japan. The system is a response to an increasingly common cause of traffic accident in ageing Japan where the driver, often elderly, mistakes the accelerator for the brake. Some 15% of fatal accidents on Japanese roads in 2018 were caused by drivers who were 75 years or older, showed a report from the government, which actively encourages elderly drivers to give up their licenses. Toyota's announcement comes as automakers globally invest heavily in so-called active safety features as they work to develop fully autonomous cars.

LONDON – Following the launch of its AI inference chip last year, Habana Labs (Tel-Aviv, Israel) has unveiled an AI training chip built on the same architecture that can outpace the incumbent technology by a substantial margin, and features on-chip RoCE (remote direct memory access over Converged Ethernet) communications for scalability. While the company's inference chip, Goya, set records for ResNet-50 inference back in September 2018, the new training chip, Gaudi, offers similar high performance. Gaudi can process 1650 images per second at a batch size of 64 when training a ResNet-50 network, which Habana claims is a new world record for this benchmark. This throughput is delivered at 140W power consumption, also a substantial advantage versus competing solutions, according to the company. Impressive, but is Habana's architecture designed specifically to beat the ResNet-50 benchmark, or will it offer similar throughput advantages for other types of neural networks?

It's the ideal streamer for media hoarders who want to build a cheap a Plex server, for cord-cutters who want to roll their own over-the-air DVR, for Kodi enthusiasts (with that media center's morally dubious third-party plug-ins), for a certain breed of living-room gamers, and for people who just want as much computing power as they can get.
